Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
My 17 year old was caught stealing an eyeliner from Rite Aid. The manager told us that they would not press charges and nothing would be on her record but she was not allowed in the store for 5 years. A few months later I received a letter from an attorney demanding payment of $305.25 or further action may be taken. What should I do?
