As you can see from the previous posts, your boyfriend needs a lawyer. If he cannot afford one, the public defender will be appointed. If he can afford one, and is serious about representation, feel free to contact us.

Re: 3 year joint suspension
It appears your boyfriend is facing up to three (3) years in state prison if he violates his probation. Committing a DUI would certainly put him in great risk of probation violation and having the sentence executed, minus any custody time credits he might have.
He absolutely needs a lawyer, private or public, to handle this very serious matter.
Feel free to contact me if you are looking for a lawyer in Southern California.

Re: 3 year joint suspension
Your boyfriend needs an attorney as soon as possible.
It appears as though he is going to face a violation of probation, commonly referred to as a "vop." Depending on the original charges that placed him on probation and the original terms of his probation he could be looking at anywhere from three years to five years, although I would expect the three year sentence rather than the five, unless there is something else out there you do not know about or are not stating.
Your boyfriend needs a criminal defense attorney and should seek a referral immediately. If you can not find anyone to recommend an attorney to you, contact the local county bar association and ask them for their referral list of attorneys, regarding criminal defense. Do not waste time. Good luck.
