For some reason California law treats hash oil far more severely than marijuana (which is the same thing). Retain counsel before visiting probation.

I have handled 100's of juvenile matters....both when I was a Deputy District Attorney, and now, as a Certified Criminal Law Specialist. When you and your son meet with probation, they will ask many questions and they will determine whether or not to send the case to the District Attorney's office for a criminal filing or if it should be handled more informally. The words that are said, as well as the words that are NOT said are crucial to that determination. You can wing it and take your chances and NOT retain an attorney such as I, or you can retain an attorney who is versed on this procedure to prepare you both. The choice is yours. I wish you well whatever your decision, and if you decide to retain counsel, call me at my office......Sincerely..David Wallin
