Lawyer not always needed
This process (the expongement) can often be done with the help of an attorney or completely by yourself. The process involves filling out some forms. Do not be taken by an attorney who would charge you great amounts of money to do this! It will be off your record except gov't agencies, i.e. Dept of Justice.
