Re: accidental injury to other person

An accident isn't a crime. Crimes require criminal intent. But yes, anybody can be arrested and/or charged with anything, and if so there is always a risk that the defendant will be pressured into pleading guilty to a crime of which he or she is legally and factually innocent. This is why people facing criminal charges need to hire lawyers.

What you describe is not a crime. It might look like one to prosecutors, though, especially if the victim and/or other witnesses claim you acted intentionally. If that happens you might indeed be charged. The charges would be wrong, but you would still have to defend yourself against them. You might even be (wrongfully) convicted.

If you are in this situation you may want to start looking for counsel.
