Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Acquittal vs. Not Guilty
What is the difference between being acquitted in a murder trial, and being found not guilty. I ask specifically in reference to the recent trial of a well known celebrity in California. Thank you.

I agree with Mr. Iadevaia. There is no difference as far as I know.

Re: Acquittal vs. Not Guilty
They're the same thing. No difference. The jury found him ''not guilty,'' and he is thus ''acquitted'' of the charges.
