Can I take legal action against someone using my name in a crime?

Impossible to say based upon the scarce information you provided. However, you should know that you can report the crime of course. If the person is prosecuted (which will not cost you anything) you might be able to recover damages which resulted from the commission of the crime, if you were a victim of it.
Taking civil action requires you to retain an attorney and success of any possible suit will depend on how much you were damaged financially and whether the defendant has money to cover any judgment.
