Appeals process for capital punishment
What are the steps a convicted death row inmate has to follow in the appeal prcoess and approximately how long can eaach step take?

Re: Appeals process for capital punishment
All cases in California in which the death penalty is imposed are automatically appealed. The length time for each step in the appeal process varies depending in the length of the trial, issued raised and the speed with which the court clerk, court reporter, attorney etc do their work. Generally this takes years in California.
