Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I have an arraignment tomorrow in Orange county, ca for grand theft... I don't have legal representation as I had retained a lawyer a few years ago and he since has died and I cannot afford to do that right now again.. I don't want to plead until I talk to a lawyer .., I'm out on bail right now will I be retained in custody tomorrow .. I just don't know what to expect tomorrow

As long as the charges filed aren't considerably worse than what you were arrested for, your bail should continue and you should remain out.
You have a choice - ask for a continuance of your arraignment to retain an attorney or if you financially qualify, request a public defender. You should always have an attorney. If you truly cannot afford one (and you'll never know if you can or not unless you meet to discuss your case, fees and payment options), you can request that a public defender be appointed.
