arrest on warrent i know i never did

this case is 10 years old from a town I've never been to before , they dint even have my real name on warrant,i had a co-defendant i've never even heard of, is this legal?

Is it legal? Sure, but it is also mistaken. Making an honest mistake like this is not against the law.

You will still need to get this straightened out, and I recommend getting a lawyer ASAP to help you. Don't try to talk to the police or prosecutor on your own, since you are likely to say something they could use against you later.
