Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Once arrested, is it easier to get arrested?
I am attending anger management classes for a battery charge. My neighbor was a witness to some of the events resulting in my charge. I have been walking her dog since before this battery occurred and have seen some abuse to her dog. I would like to report the abuse to animal control, but am afraid the neighbor might retaliate against me by claiming I battered her, because she knows of my arrest. Will the police arrest you if the neighbor were to make a false claim, since I have been to the neighbor's a lot to walk the dog so they could perceive me having a circumstance where a battery could have occured? I am just worried about retaliation and the best way to handle my concern about the dog, especially since the neighbor gets angry so easily and drinks. I would appreciate any meaningful advice.

The cops don't need you, and man, they expect the same.
