Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

arrested on the job

Was arrested on the job for domestic voilence with assalt for deadly wepon that was partical board. Someone called and police came of saw my boy friends knee had scratches and issued a warrent that was served on my job at 5:15 pm called and go replacement for myself. Was called in to HR with Shop Steward and we were told to tell what happened in my private life because I might be a threat to co-workers and patients. My shop steward would not let me speak until attorney advise. They want to fire me for what happened at home, I have worked there 5 years and have no record for doing anything wrong they are threating to terminate me and get all the court documents can they do this.
