Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I've been arrested for a MIP of alcohol in CA. I am currently 16. I've been arrested for shoplifting, in either 2010 or 2011, and believe I was put into some type of diversion program. I am planning on pleading guilty at my arraignment and am inquiring as to how I would go about entering a diversion/DEJ program (if possible). If not, what are some options/possible outcomes?

You should have an attorney or public defender assist you in this matter. Once you plead guilty you have no bargaining power.

Get a lawyer before you enter a plea. The court will appoint one for you if you and your family can't afford one. It's rarely a good idea to plead guilty at the arraignment. And you may not fully grasp how a guilty plea would affect you later on. You need competent advice before you act.

Good luck.
