Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I was arrested for pc code 484a for the second time due to a drug relapse. I have a prison prior pc 666. I was arrested in fresno ca. the arresting officer cited me out and said i could pay the fine before my court date is that possible?

Penal Code section 484, subdivision (a) is a charge concerning theft. I don't see what it has to do with drugs, unless you are claiming you were under the influence and did not know you were stealing from someone else. It's not a citation that can be paid like a moving violation. You are going to have to go to court and you should get an attorney If you cannot afford an attorney, you should ask the court to appoint one for you.
