Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I was arrested for possession of controlled substance but it wasn't mine it was my friends. Why, with both of our denials, did it land in my lap?

You have not provided enough information to give you an answer. Possession of a controlled substance can occur when you are in the same car, room , etc. where you have access to it. If you are not represented by an attorney you should retain an attorney immediately.
