Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

if you were arrested for residential burglary and the charges were dismissed at the prelum then after a year they try to charge me for it because I got in trouble for a possession

If charges were dismissed you shouldn't be charged again for the same thing just because you got in trouble for something else...this doesn't sound right. There may be something else going on. I suggest you talk to a local criminal defense attorney. Good luck!
