Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I was assaulted and the wrong person is being falsely accused based on a work id found in my house and his previous record (not involving domestice violence). The police at the scene and the detective would not listen when I said he was not involved. The DA will not even speak to me. The judge agreed that a stay-away protective order was not necessary as I am stating that he was not involved. The DA would not dismiss the case. They have a phone that was thrown at me, pictures of my injury, and a recording of a man in the background of the 911 tape. What are the chances that this person may be wrongly convicted? Isn't this all circumstancial evidence.

If they really have the wrong person, then you are a star witness for the defense. Make sure the defense attorney for the wrongfully accused knows about what you have posted here.
