attempted murder
dear sir or ma'am:
in the state of california, if it could be proved that someone is aware of their infection with the hiv virus and they proceed to have unprotected sex with others without informing them of their infection, are they criminally liable for attempted murder or any other crime?

I am not aware of charges being filed for this type of conduct in Ca. It may constitute a battery. It is unlikely to be charged as attempted murder.
