Attempted Murder
What is the min. to max. sentence a person can get? Can you be sentenced to 22to life, and have it reduced to 14 with an L? And if so how much time will the inmate serve?

Re: Attempted Murder
The sentence for attempted murder depends upon whether the person was convicted of attempted first degree murder or attempted second degree murder.
A person can be sentenced to a term of 22 years to life, if the person had priors, great bodily injury enhancements, or weapon enhancements.
A person convicted of attempted murder will be required to serve 85% of his/her sentence because attempted murder is a violent crime (PC 2933.1)
