Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Background Checks

How long will it take for a criminal charge be on your background check for employment after sentencing. Lets say a person was arrested in California 6 months ago, but just entered a plea one month ago. That plea would erase all charges continguent on completing a program in 3 years. However, a no-contest plea was entered. Does the conviction immediately go on their record?
