I would look up the web site for the superior court for your county and see if it lists the "bail schedule." A bail bondsperson would also have this type of information. Good luck!
Re: bail amount for burglary
I would estimate the bail would be 30K - 50K, but this is really a guess, and the bail schedule is only presumptive and factors such as whether there is prior record, and certainly the estimated amount of damage/theft, will matter. Also, whether burglaries are residential or not will make a huge difference - I assume they are not based upon the information you provided. The warrant will come with a bail amount so you will be able to find out prior to surrender.
I agree that bailing out is absolutely a priority. From a lawyer's point of you, there is nothing worse than a case where the prosecution has the client by the balls so to speak. Not being able to bail out can mean having to accept a lousy deals.
An effective lawyer might be able to negotiate the bail down in exchange for prompt surrender or at arraignment or special bail hearing.
Feel free to contact me for a free consultation. I should be able to arrange for a bond at 8 percent, perhaps even somewhat better.

Re: bail amount for burglary
It all depends on the judge and the information his is given and the prior history. I think the bail would be set at $50,000. If you would like help call the 1-800-Bail-Hotline.
Since your friend is planning on paying bail he will need to hire a private attorney. I would be happy to help and talk to him, our price for this charge would be $5,000.
