bail amount
one misdemeanor (14601) two infractions (?) and no priors on any , why is bail set at $10,000 on a bench warrant for driving on a suspended liscense on a court appearance that could of only possibly been missed once.

Re: bail amount
In some counties if the bail is under a specifiec amount the police will cite and release on a bench warrant. This procedure is followed in those counties in which the jail is full and space is available only for the more serious cases.
The judge sets the bail in excess of that amount to insure that the person is held in jail or posts bail, and is thereby going to be in court for the next appearance.
