Why should a bail amount set for 100,000 during the first arranment change to 400,000

Either they charged the defendant with more offenses, or they found out more information about the defendant's criminal record, or maybe the defendant did something to anger the judge.

They charge more offenses, or worse offenses. When bail gets increased, the prosecution makes a motion to increase bail and it is called a deviation. All kinds of factors go in, such as the seriousness of the crime, whether the defendant can be considered a flight risk, or to protect a victim who may testify.
