Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Bail or no Bail
I have recently discovered a warrant for me on contempt of court. I have a lawyer working on the case but very slowly. I have contacted various bail offices about whether I can post my own bail. Bail is $2500.00 Some offices have said I need to be a homeowner which I'm not. Some have said you should get R.O.R Offense took place back in 05. Thought first Lawyer took care of of offense with DA but no such luck. Will court answer question as to whether bail amount will be enforced?

Re: Bail or no Bail
Yes. Judge could increase the bail or allow you to go "OR" which is without money but with your promise to appear.
