I was bailed out on a 20,000 bond , I paid 500 hundred up front when I went to my court date the judge dismissed bond and put me on or . I wanted to no if I get the 500 dollars back or do i still owe the bondsman 1,500?

You're on the hook for the remaining $1,500.
A bail bond is like an insurance policy that pays the court the full bail amount if you fail to appear. Once the bond is issued, the bond company has earned the full amount.
You owe the rest of the money. The bondsman lived up to his end of the bargain, and you got the benefit. It turned out that you didn't need the benefit very long, but that's not his fault.
Read the bail bond contract carefully. You are at least out the $500, regardless of what happens to the charges, or even if it was proper to arrest you.
