Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I got a becnch warrent for forgetting to go back to court after getting booked.

I got a bench warrent for forgetting to return to court, the judge told me to go to the police station for fingerprinting. i for got a did not return on the day requested. i got a notice in the mail saying that i had a bench warrent. I just need to know where i go from here. Do i go back to court? how do i scueduale that? will i have to pay bail or something? i just need some advise on where to go from here. I don't really know what happens, with these things.

You should arrange to have the matter placed on the courts calendar. Then appear in court and be prepared to be remanded into custody if your only excuse is that you forgot, barring something unusual causing you to forget. This approach is better than the alternative, which is to allow the police to pick you up on the warrant at sometime in the future.
