Blackmail
My 2 boys were visiteng friends who are legal adults and the refused to let me communicate with them in any way until I paid them money.
What would the violation be?

When you say not communicate in anyway, did you go to the door and they wouldn't let them out? Are your kids minors? If so the charge is kidnapping. If you want to follow up contact me directly.
