Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
My boyfriend was arrested for a parole violation & only had one charge till now. The 2nd charge that appears when I look him up has "wishold" instead of a case number. What does a "wishold" mean? What kind of new charge could he be looking at?

That code is a response from the Warrant Information System (WIS) to HOLD the person in question due to an apparent match on an outstanding warrant ... no telling just from that what type of case/warrant is in the system (or if your boyfriend is the correct person for that warrant.) Good luck!

I agree with Ms. Hofmeister. WISHOLD = Warrant Information Statement HOLD. It means he will be held in jail until the issue regarding an outstanding warrant is taken care of.
