Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Boyfriend attacked and beat best guy friend up ,unprovoked, best friend filed a police report.there was a witness and told police about what boyfriend did while witness was intoxicated and stupid. we want to retract the warrant and we want to fix the situation.the victim seems possibly hostile. so the witness doesn't remember the events or the police statement.how do you handle this.

You don't. The prosecutor makes the decision of when to file charges, and coordinates with police regarding warrants. If you are charged, you need to get an attorney. If you cannot afford one, you need to ask the court to appoint one for you.
