This is not some do-it-yourself project, like fixing a leaky faucet, that you can handle yourself with a little advice from a stranger on the Internet.

It is impossible to give any meaningful suggestions without a complete review of all the facts, a thorough defense investigation, and interviews with all the witnesses. An experienced defense attorney can tell whether your boyfriend's witnesses would actually help his case; a witness who does not testify well could hurt his case instead of helping.

It may even turn out that self-defense is not the best way to approach this case.

Lawguru works well for specific answers to a short question, but this situation takes the kind of personal attention from an experienced criminal defense attorney that is impossible to give on an anonymous website.
