If you're on informal probation then write the court and let them know your new address. (You may not be required to do this but it doesn't hurt.) It's as easy as that. Nothing will happen.

If you're on formal probation contact your probation officer, and let him know where you're at. Tell him why you left, job, sick parents, etc. And ask him what you should do. If he was about ready to release you to informal probation, and your crime wasn't much of a crime, probably nothing will happen.

It's possible to hire an attorney here to make some court appearances until the matter is resolved although you may have to make an appearance back in California.

Lots of luck - Vic
