How long does the DA have to issue a warrant on a burglary charge?

First the DA does not issue a warrant. The court issues the warrant. The statute of limitations on burglary is 3 years. The DA can file a complaint any time during that 3 year period. Once the complaint has been filed the statute of limitations ceases to run, and there is not time limit after which the complaint is dismissed.
