Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Calif DUI
My daughter received a DUI and after court she was sentenced to license suspension, community service, fines, classes and ordered to get her vehicle out of her name or else have a breathalyzer installed.. She signed her title and gave to to her mechanic who had a buyer. Now she can't find the mechanic and has to go back to court tomorrow for 'parole contempt' because she has not shown proof the vehicle is out of her name or breathalyzer installed. I plan to go with her to show letters sent to the mechanic and to be of moral support. How will the court look at this?

Re: Calif DUI
If she didn't get a receipt from the buyer -why didn't she?-, she could ask that the hearing be postponed in order to subpoena the DMV registration records for the car.
