You can be arrested any time, any where, if there is a warrant out for your arrest.
In general, the police cannot arrest on a misdemeanor unless it is a fresh ongoing investigation. If there is an arrest warrant issued for you that is different. Yes, they can arrest you if you go to the station.
There are some exceptions to that steel misdemeanor rule though. Domestic violence and other types of assaults can be arrested even though it is not a fresh investigation.
The more important question is why you would ever want to go and speak to the police knowing you are named as a suspect in a criminal case. You should not be speaking to the police unless you consult with an attorney.any statement you make could be used against you and make this case worse. You absolutely need to speak to an attorney first.
