In California can I be forced to take the witness stand against my husband?

It depends. In a domestic violence case, you would have rights - including the right not to testify. There can be a fine imposed on you, but you could not be jailed.
There is also a spousal testimonial privilege, but it may not apply in some cases (for example if the charges are crimes against your children).
