Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Hi, i was in california on a J1 student visa from ireland last summer. One night i was there we threw a party and i ended up receiving a 250 dollar fine as the police were called out more than once. However, soon afterwards i flew home and never paid the ticket, i didn't think it was a major offence and that it would be ok. I'm now returning to the United States this summer, to chicago. Does anyone know if i will have any problems at immigration because of this outstanding fine? I figured a minor offence wouldn't matter when in a different state, but if anyone has any information i'd really appreciate it thanks

You have a warrant for your arrest and an additional charge of failure to appear. You might get arrested on arrival, or they might not even let you on the plane. Or maybe not, but why don't you clear it up? You could hire a California lawyer to take care of it without your having to come back.
