Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
a california judge told me I could not go back to work as a bar manager after an arrest for drug charges. can they take away my livliehood? I had 5+ years clean, I relapsed for 2 months and allowed my new BF to move in to my home. He was a dealer, my home was raided while I was away and when I returned I was arrested for 3 conspiracy counts and 3 posession for sales charges. I had .2 grams (a line) of meth and a straw in my posession. I was also on informal probation for a dui 2 yeas prior. My co-defendent has taken responsibility for all his drugs and my lawyer tells me I will get a drug program (prop 36) and probation. However, we have not been sentenced yet. It is still on-going and I am close to losing my home because I cannot afford my $1100 rent, not to mention my bills piling up. Shouldn't it be up to my boss to fire me or not? I have been a bartender for 21 yeas and at my current job for 7 years.

You left out the crucial information: when and under what circumstances did the judge "tell" you this? Was that a term of probation or parole? Part of a plea agreement?
