Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

California Penal Code 1385

I have had charges dimissed pursuant to PC 1305, which means I can legally say that I have never been convicted of the crime. Is there anything else that I can do to conceal the arrest record? How long are court records kept on file in Los Angeles County?

The records wll be stored and micro filmed. Then there is of course a computer record of the criminal process ioncluding the arrest date etc. Depending on the facts of the case the entire record may be stricken i.e. the charges were dropped.

There isn't just a paper trail in the court.

This probably doesn't make you happy but the law turns on the facts, and you set forth no facts upon which the case was dropped under P. C. Section 1385.
