Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

california sonoma county

i would like to get information on a charge of willfull cruelty to children that i have been accused of i also recieved a letter from the sherrifs dept stating i was under investigation of suspected child abuse and the report was substaintiated or inconclusive and if i felt this was unfounded or false dont contact the child abuse central index i really dont understand all this. The main charge i am charged with is possession of parafanelia because the cops came to my home looking for my girlfriends daughter who had a warrant my girlfriend and i were asleep and the screen door was closed and the main door was open and my two children 10 and 12 year olds were in the front room and the cops walked in without knocking and started searching without speaking to an adult . 10 yr old said her sister was not there. then because my girlfriend was on probation they woke us up & continued to search our 1 bedroom apt and since we could not tell them were she was they began a probation search and in my drawer and i was not on probation they found what they named glass pipe. my drawer is in my closet and i did not ok them to search it. but they did charging me with paraf.and willfull cruelty children and arrested us both
