Will the California DMV suspend my license if I'm convicted of possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuanna while driving?

Not unless you're a juvenile. Note that if you are charged only with possession of less than one oz., you have nothing to lose by fighting the charges, because no punishment over and above the $250 or so fine can be imposed.

California Vehicle Code section 13800 states that suspension is possible after 3 or more convictions within 3 years of possession of less than an ounce of marijuana while driving. That is assuming you don't have a medical marijuana recommendation from a physician.
