Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
A case in California which I'm being a key witness. can they still charge you with aiding and abetting while you're there as a key witness for the state.

Sure. Testifying does not entitle you to avoid prosecution, unless you and the prosecutors made a deal that said it would. You should consult with a criminal attorney ASAP, and before you testify. If there is a deal to be had, you will need to act quickly. And even if there isn't, you will probably need representation when you testify.

You would have to work out a deal with the prosecutors for immunity. Mr. Hoffman is correct in that you should get an attorney, and try to negotiate a deal before testifying.
