Case dismissed on a legal technicality
If an alleged crime of Battery was reported on lets say the 12th and the police submitted the case to the--name removed--A and changed the crime date to the 13th can the case be dismissed on a legal technicality.

Being one day off on the date of the incident would not be sufficient to get the case dismissed. Generally the complaint states that the incident occurred on or about.
