Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I was caught shoplifting less than $50 at a local shopping store, I hired a lawyer and he went to the court for me and now is asking me to plea guilty, complete 6 hours community service and provide with DNA SAMPLE, he will apply to the court and says case will be dismissed.
My question is, is this correct? Is this what I should do? I've never heard of anybody plea guilty. I'm confused. Why do I need to provide DNA sample? If supposedly it's going to be dismissed?
