Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I was caught with vicoden that were not in the bottle I didn;t know they needed to be in the bottle. They were my sons who just had surgery. now they are trying to charge me with a felony

You may have a defense, unless you were doing something else, like selling the vicodin to someone else without the prescription. I'm assuming that you had the Vicodin as the parent of a minor child.
