Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
What are my chances of terminating my probation early if I have only 6 months left

It depends. What are you on probation for? Formal or informal probation? Have you completed all your obligations? Any violations? What is your "good cause" as required by the code section to terminate early?
Discuss it with the attorney you had at the time of your conviction.
With a case like your and your criminal history?
The previous attorneys already asked several of the questions that I would have. The general rule I have learned in the past 25 years of practicing Criminal Law is that a court will begin to consider terminating probation early after, at least, half of the term is completed and all terms of probation have been completed. But all of the previous questions posed are important to know before I could give ananswer with any more specificity. I wish you well ............... David Wallin
Another questions that needs to be answered is: What is your relationship with your probation officer. If you were put on probation as a result of a plea agreement with the District Attorney he or she may have to sign off on terminating probation early.
