Re: what is the charge
The charge is forging or altering a perscription. It is considered a drug offense. Upon conviction there is a mandatory minimum sentence of 180 days to 3 years in state prison. As a former Deputy District Attorney and Certified Criminal Law Specialist, our office has handled many of these kinds of cases. Re: what is the charge
Forging or altering prescriptions. 3 years state prison maximum. However, it is a so-called "wobbler" which can be charged either as misdemeanor (maximum 1 year county jail) or felony.
Feel free to call my office to discuss further.
