What, you are going to stand up and say, Judge, wait a minute, I committed the crime in Los Angeles? Better let your lawyer make the tactical decisions.

Without going over your possible defense, or when to change venue in a criminal matter, I strongly urge you to retain an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, you should ask for appointment of the public defender.

When you speak to your attorney, that is when you should raise the issue (cloaked with attorney client confidentiality and attorney client privilege).

Don't say a word.

Speak to an attorney who will make that critial tactical decision.
