Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I am being charged with 4 felonies for assisting a male suspect committ check fraud. No male has been arrested in this case though, I am being charged. Is this possible?

Yes. People can commit a crime together, but that doesn't mean the police have to arrest everyone before one of the suspects can be prosecuted.
Here's one possible scenario that might lead to this situation: A woman walks into a bank with an unidentified guy and pass a bad check. She is detained, but the guy gets away.
The fact that they didn't catch the guy does not prevent prosecution of the woman.
