Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Charged with Grand Theft/Embezzlement
Iam facing charge of Grand theft from my emloyer total of $17,000. I have a lawyer and made a reinstitution through my lawyer for $12,000 during the pre-trial. I just got this case weeks ago and still have my lawyer. My employer is still holding onto my 401K since I was fired in May. I will be going back next week to choose the plea bargain of 180 days of community service or 3 months in prison. This is my first and nly offense, I am a professional married with 2 kids going to private school. What should I do?

Re: Charged with Grand Theft/Embezzlement
You really should discuss your alternatives with your family and your lawyer. There are way too many variables involved to provide you with any guidance on which direction to take. Good luck!.
