Penal Code section 503 is just a designation of a form of theft by embezzlement. The punishment depends on the dollar amount of the embezzlement. Under $400 is a misdemeanor and punishable by up to 6 months in county jail. Over $400 and it's potentially a felony, punishable by up to 3 years in state prison.
The 459 is burglary - residential burglary carries 2, 4 or 6 years in state prison. If it's anything but residential, then it carries up to 3 years in state prison.
I assume the 459 (burglary) charge is related - if the theory is that you entered with the intent to commit the embezzlement, then the charges merge and your maximum is 3 years in prison.
You're right - you do need a lawyer. If you're in Tulare County and need a referral, send me an email. I used to practice in Tulare and can suggest a couple of people for you
